The Federal Government has fulfilled its promise to pay N33,000 to NYSC members as allowance. Many of them in the early of hours of today began receiving bank alerts of N33, 000 NYSC allowance popularly known as ''alawee'' from the Federal government. The video was shared by campaign group No To Dog Meat as they called for an end to the barbaric trade. A horrific video of a dog yelping in pain as it was roasted alive on a barbecue in a Chinese meat market has been shared online by animal rights activists. The dog is seen trying to open its battered jaw to cry out as it was barbecued at a meat market in Yulin, China. Another video shows men pouring boiling water from pans over a half-skinned dog which was still alive. The activists also shared another video of a dog stuffed into a cramped cage in filthy conditions in a meat market in the Chinese city of Yulin, which is known for the dog meat festival.  The videos were shared in preparation for a march to the Chinese embassy in London today, where activists are demanding an end to the trade of dogs and cats for food. 

A graduating student of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) took to Twitter to share his excitement at becoming the first student to graduate from the institution's Department of Political Science with a First Class in 50 years. Twitter user @abdool_moh graduated with a CGPA of 4.52/5.0 to become the first First Class graduate of Department of Political Science in ABU. While sharing his result sheet on Twitter, the graduating student wrote; Glory be to God Almighty, My four year journey in ABU Zaria ends with a B.Sc. Political Science (first class honours). Actress Yvonne Jegede posted the photo above which was from the set of a movie on her page  and a troll left a comment saying if she had been this affectionate with her estranged husband, he wouldn't have left her. She gave a sarcastic reply to a troll who tried mocking her with her failed marriage to fellow actor, Olakunle Abounce Fawole. The middle-aged man, who has not been identified, checked into Jubilee hotel in Onitsha, Anambra state, with a lady at about 5pm on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Barely 30 minutes after they checked in, the man started to scream for help while clutching his chest, Tribune reports. The hotel management reportedly rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was said to have been confirmed dead by a medical doctor.  Somizi Mhlongo ,a South African gay media personality,and his partner, Mohale Motaung have officially tied the knot. They have been together since 2017, held their extravagant white wedding at the lavish River Meadow Manor in Muldersdrif, Johannesburg on Thursday. The wedding which was an all-white ceremony was attended by several South African celebrities including Ayanda Thabethe, Minnie Dlamini-Jones, Djzinhle, Khanyi Mbau, Cassper Nyovest, Noma Gigaba, Shimza, Khaya Dlala, Basetsana K and Vusi Nova among many others.
